Martine Castrillon, Designer of Black Lion Investment Group, is known for producing spaces that are classically modern with authentic hints of the past that compliment contemporary living. Translating a client's vision into a design that harmoniously interprets the intent of each space is no easy task - however, Martine thoughtfully and effortlessly accomplishes just that.
Martine launched her career in Los Angeles where she quickly built a celebrity client list. Martine's exquisite residential portfolio includes the private residence of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas in the exclusive New York co-op The Dakota, the former Beverly Hills home of Hollywood legend Natalie Wood purchased by SONY Pictures Entertainment's CEO and the private Dallas residence of the Princess of Saudi Arabia. Martine's premier commercial projects range from exclusive Caribbean resorts to power play New York board rooms to multi-family projects for the Related Group in Scottsdale, Arizona and South Florida. After Los Angeles, Martine joined ID & Design International, where every year of her tenure the firm was voted Top Interior Designers by the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality.
Martine now brings her passion for achieving design excellence to Black Lion, where she oversees all design aspects of the Group's residential and commercial portfolio. Martine graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami International University of Art and Design, where every year she was awarded the first place Design Excellence Award for Commercial Design by the American Society of Interior Designers. Her work is still displayed at the University to inspire students and faculty alike. Martine is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the International Interior Design Association. A former professional tennis player, her passions also include paddle boarding, art and traveling abroad where she finds inspiration for her work. An avid dog lover, Martine has the cutest Miniature Schnauzer named Maxine that keeps Martine on her toes!
